TXTilecity
TXTilecity is a mobile locative app that explores the significance of textiles and textile history in shaping the social, cultural, economic and architectural terrain of Toronto. Walking through key mapped locations, participants discover the evolving role of textiles in defining the urban landscape from early garment manufacturing to the rise of the performing arts, fashion industry and contemporary design. Produced by the Textile Museum of Canada in collaboration with Year Zero One + [murmur] with the support of the Dept. of Canadian Heritage through the Canada Interactive Fund.
